After 16 years the US basketball team is again the FIBA world champion 2010. The basketball world cup championship is an important event in many countries around the world. Many worldwide online news were interested about this event especially that the US team takes the title from Spain (2006 champion) after 16 years (1994) from their last win.

The Chinese website “new.xinhuanet.com” published an article about the basketball final game titled: “U.S wins world basketball championship” by Bi Mingxin. In this article the author explains all the different issues of this final game. Not only written but also Bi Mingxin introduce to audience the game summary visually by publishing five different pictures, that give an overall view of the game from the first weasel tell the end. At the main page the author used the picture of the U.S players celebrating after the end of the game. This picture presents celebration and happiness of the U.S players that will be directly related to the article title.
To conclude, most online news was interested of this event because it is an international championship, so each article introduces this game in different point of view, some want to reach the audience emotionally and other want to show the glorious and the happiness of the U.S team. At the end, the news reaches most the people because the news itself is worldwide and the pictures show the reality of this great event.
